How to add comments in table creation scripts

I am using a file to keep all table creation commands. and i am creating tables using omnisql DB_NAME -u DB_USER -p DB_PASSWORD < TableCreationScript.sql

i want to add some comments to keep version and other description in the top part of the the file TableCreationScript.sql. i tried --, //, /*, nothing is working, any one please help
