We have not one but TWO exciting announcements for the OmniSci Community this morning! :tada: x :two:

First we are thrilled to share the latest rev of Mark Litwinschik's 1.1 billion row taxi benchmarks, this time running on a 16 inch 2019 MacBook Pro. Turns out that OmniSciDB running on this machine handily beat several more famous Big Data platforms running on Big Iron - read Mark's post about it, and also see the latest results

Our second exciting announcement is that a preview of OmniSci for Mac is available for all to try! Just enter your email, download and explore datasets with hundreds of millions to billions of data points on your Mac laptop or desktop. You can also read more about why we did this, here. Please let us know your feedback here, and also spread the word to others who may be interested!

    Hi @Sumit, thanks for rejoining us!

    As part of our re-platforming, we evaluated importing all of the past history. Ultimately, the two systems were disparate enough that we decided that it wasn't feasible for us to take on a project like that. Rather, we have collected the themes from the past topics and will be writing a series of Frequently Asked Questions topics, some of which have already been started:

    We hope that over time, these guides will surface information much more efficiently than having to search through the post history, which suffered both from outdated branding as well as problems that have been resolved through newer versions of the OmniSci platform. We invite community members like yourself to make suggestions for content that belongs in the FAQ pages, so that this Community can be a highly valuable resource for beginners and experts alike.
